The North Carolina and South Carolina SAR presented the 235th Anniversary of the Battle of Kings Mountain today at Kings Mountain, SC.

Hundreds of SAR, DAR, CAR, SR and other civic organizations came together to honor the brave Patriots who fought in this historic battle back on October 7, 1780.

The Battle of Kings Mountain was a decisive victory in South Carolina for the Patriot militia over the Loyalist militia in the Southern campaign of the American Revolutionary War.
