Celebrating the 225th Anniversary of 3 Revolutionary Battles, and the 236th Anniversary of an earlier fight for freedom, the 10th Annual Patriot's Day Ceremony was held at the Alamance Battleground Historic Site, on Saturday, May 13th.  The day was bright and warm, as were the guests and compatriots who gathered here from around the state of North Carolina and beyond.  Two honored guests, Chip Steele, an author and historian noted for his work on the history of the Battle at Clapp's Mill, and Howard Horne, NSSAR President General 1999-2000, joined the gathering and regaled the guests with their accounts of local history.  It was a well-attended event, with participation of the SAR, SR, DAR, and CAR.
