- June 22, 2013 - The Catawba Valley Chapter invites you to attend the 233rd Anniversary Commemoration of The Battle of Ramsour's Mill in Lincolnton, NC, beginning at 10:00am. The wreath laying ceremony will be held on the grounds of the Jack Kiser School, 301 Jeb Seagle Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092. Download the Event Flyer here. Immediately following the commemoration ceremony at Ramsour's Mill, the Catawba Valley Chapter will host a grave marking ceremony(s) for four of Compatriot John Echerd's Patriot Ancestors. The ceremonies (4) will be held in the St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover, N.C at approx. 11:30am to 12:00pm. Following the grave marking there will be a Dutch treat luncheon @ the Golden Corral on L-R Blvd. in Hickory. If you plan to attend either or both, please send an e-mail to David Kilby above. St. John's Church is located @2126 St. John's Church Road NE in Conover NC. The distance from Ramsour's Mill is approximately 23 miles and about 32 minutes drive time.
