    The 239th Anniversary Observance of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse

    The North Carolina Society of the Sons of the American Revolution will host a ceremony in remembrance of the men who fought and died in this pivotal battle of the American Revolution.

    In order for all presenters to be listed in the program, all RSVPs MUST be received no later than close of day Monday, March 9th, 2020.

    The Headquarters Hotel for the North Carolina Society will be:

    Room reservations may be made by calling the hotel at 336-299-7650 and requesting the “Sons of the American Revolution” room rate of $99 + tax…includes a free breakfast!

    The cut-off date for hotel room reservations is March 6, 2020

    A reception will be held in at 5:00pm on Friday, March 13 at the hotel.

                The ceremony will begin with a Procession from the side of the Visitor Center to the Nathanael Greene Monument precisely at 10:00 am.  Wreaths should be presented to the Visitor’s Center no later than 9:30 am to allow the Park Service time to transport them over to the monument.

    In order for all presenters to be listed in the program, all RSVP’s MUST BE RECEIVED no later than close of day Monday, March 9th, 2020.

    From Statesville:
    Travel East on US70 to Cleveland. Turn left at the stoplight just past Freightliner. Stay on Main Street for about 1.5 mi.
    Church is on the left.

    From Salisbury:
    From Jake Alexander Blvd & US70 W/Statesville Blvd., travel US70 west about 8.5 mi to Kesler Rd. Take a right on Kesler then a left onto Old US Hwy 70. The church will be on the right. If you miss Kesler Rd, continue to the stoplight in Cleveland and turn right, then follow as above.
