Invite you to attend a grave marking ceremony for Revolutionary War Patriot Capt. Samuel L. Gerock (1754-1833)

10:00am on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the historic Cedar Grove Cemetery in New Bern, NC.

Patriot Gerock was a native of Lancaster, PA and served in the German Battalion of the Continental Army from 1776-1777 where he fought in the Battles of Long Island, Harlem Heights, and Trenton. After the war, he moved to New Bern and served as Postmaster and later as a bank clerk.

All SAR, DAR and CAR members, as well as members of the public, are invited to attend.

A Dutch treat lunch will be held immediately following the ceremony at Moore’s Old Tyme BBQ, 3621 Doctor M.L.K. Jr Blvd, New Bern, NC 28562.
