Patriot Monument Unveiling Ceremony in Charlotte

The Mecklenburg chapter SAR and the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence chapter DAR invite you to attend a historical marker unveiling ceremony for Patriot Ephraim Brevard beginning at 10:30am at the Old Settlers’ Cemetery, 200 W Trade Street, in Uptown Charlotte 28202. Please park on the street located all around the cemetery. Patriot Brevard was an author and signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, a Captain at the Battle of Moore’s Creek Bridge, a prisoner of war in Charleston and a surgeon with the 1st North Carolina. Immediately following the ceremony, the Mecklenburg SAR chapter will be sponsoring a lunch at Big Ben Pub, 2000 South Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. Please RSVP for the lunch to jay@mecklenburgsar.org. Lunch will be ordered from the menu and you pay as you order!
